“Imagine it like this: I get all my trousers from just one shop, really I do! They recognise me when I walk in and that’s the only thing they remember about me, that’s the stored cookie, they know my name. They quickly look up my measurements, that’s what the web server does….brings up some useful shopping information about you.... and I’m shown trousers that will fit me. I’m not left standing there in my pants, asking my kids to get me the next size up, plus the shop makes a quick sale. Everyone is happy.
